Another great year for the Beach Club!
Since we have opened, we have received several official rewards, we have experienced high occupancy and great guests. In 2009 and into 2010 we ranked at the very top of the TripAdvisor List for our category, something we are very proud to maintain. Our success is dependent on the feedback we get from our guests. We would like to thank all guests for taking the time to write their comments to us: on review sites, in e-mail, on our blog and elsewhere. Below are some of the feedback we have received.

High quality self-catering villas
We had a family holiday at DDBC during half term (23-29 Oct 2011) - my wife has been here with her girly friends before and we returned with 2 young kids (5 & 2). The resort is very well laid out with a 'village' feel to it with 3 outdoor pools (cold later in the year) and 1 indoor pool. Our kids spent most of the time in the indoor pool. DDBC pretty much has everything you need onsite, small shop, restaurant, bar, gym, sauna and easy beach access. The apartments are spacious with excellent cooking facilities (utensils, bbq, oven & dishwasher) and all seem to have sea view (Wifi was the cherry on the cake!). The resort is safe and secure with all residents getting access with a security card, which serves as payment for drinks, food and even in the shop - so no real need for Euros or even a car. We rented a car for 3 days to get out and about to visit the local towns. The beach is a 3 minute walk from the furthest apartment onsite and has a few local restaurants within a 10 minute beach walk. The apartments are serviced daily and are spotless - they even heat up the hot tub on the roof terrace, ready for your return at the end of the day. All in all, I would recommend this resort to anyone who fancies a bit of quality relaxation holiday time. Mr. C , London

Wow!
Been ..everywhere; This place is unique. Best apartment , best staff, best food , best beach, best facilities. Do I have to write more ? Was there from 14 - 21 october, and we -even - had the best october weather . Parfait ! We will be back ! Elisabeth & Jon - Norway

Fantastic
Whilst it appears to be very pricey I do think you get what you pay for and for a family holiday Dunas Douradas beach club is just about perfect. The quality of the accomodation and the attention to detail is as good as anything I have stayed at , the communal facitities and pool areas are wonderful . 5 stars in a 6 star location
Dunas is a high quality resort with attentive staff in a peaceful location away from the main (busy) hotspots on the Algarve. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment which was perfect for 2 couples. The roof top terrace had amazing views and was excellent for bbqs when combined with the well equipped kitchen. The resort is on the beach but we spent all our time by the pools where table (sunlounger!) service is efficient and friendly. Jackson family. I would definitely recommend this to couples and families. Would also recommend the spa - the staff were top notch and unbelievably friendly. Jackson family, Auckland, New Zealand.

"Great location & resort"
Just a great place to stay. A member of the family owns an apartment as it is the best place in central algarve and proven by winning awards. Most Golf Courses within 5 to 15 minutes. Reduced package when staying at resort. Mr. S - United Kingdom

Beautiful surroundings, relaxing and friendly staff make this place epic!
2 friends and I stayed for 4 nights at the start of May, it is a gorgeous resort with spacious apartments and very friendly staff. I would have no hesitation in going back and was looking to go in the 6 weeks with the misses but it is very expensive BUT it is definitely worth every penny if you can afford it in peak season. The roof top hot tubs are the best thing ever invented! Mr. R C , London

I just wanted to thank you for your great hospitality during our stay last weekend. We arranged a transfer to the resort through reception and the service was excellent. The apartment that we had, was luxurious and the Jacuzzi was all ready to go, which we enjoyed a few times during our stay. The food and the service in the restaurant was also great, some of the best I’ve experienced. My main thank you is to Teresa and the girls in the spa. Teresa you had everything organised and booked in for us. The girls who carried out our treatments were very welcoming, polite and professional. We were totally relaxed from the start and they made sure we were all looked after. This was the first experience for a couple of us and my friend Jo said that of all the facials she has had the one at your spa was the best. We cant thank you enough for making our weekend. We will definitely be recommended the resort to everyone we know. And venturing back ourselves for another visit. Please pass on our thanks to everyone as it is well deserved. S.T , London

I drink my Piña Coladas at Dunas Douradas.
It was truly the best vacation our family have had in years! (It was actually the second time we visited, but this was the first time during high season). We stayed for 2 weeks, in a 2 bedroom ground floor apartment where the kids could run in and out, safely. Quite close to the restaurant and the pools. The interiours, both in the restaurant area and the apartment made us feel like we were soaked in luxury. The food in the restaurant was excellent, with a large menu containing a lot of healthy and tasty options, also for the children. The service in general was fantastic and the cleaning superb. Extremely serviceminded staff! The staff running the Kid's club during the day was highly professional. And they also offer professional babysitters for the evening if you want to go out on a romantic grown-up-night. The beaches are endless and beautiful and just a few minutes walk. (The sea can be a bit ruff for the smallest children at times). We rented a car, which made it easy for us to get around and visit amusement parks and other sites and activities around the area. Superb holiday accommodation - the best in the Algarve
Dunas Douradas Beach Club is just 2 years old and it is one of the most attractively designed luxury developments in the Algarve. Nestled between the very upmarket Quinta do Lago & Vale do Lobo, it is quiet, exclusive and a wonderfully relaxing place to stay. The best apartments are the Praia (overlooking the gardens that sit between the resort & the beach) or the Dunas (which also have views of the gardens & sea). We stayed in a one bedroom, first floor Dunas apartment which was luxurious & spacious, with a wonderful balcony with sea views. The two bed apartment below us had an enormous terrace with hot tub. The Clubhouse has an excellent restaurant & bar, although there are plenty of nice restaurants in the local area to choose from. It also has an excellent gym with trainers which we used a lot (and for free), plus a spa. There are also 3 pools and plenty of loungers (and importantly, space for the loungers) so everyone gets a bit of space to lie in the sun. The resort is just 20 minutes drive from Faro airport. Yes Dunas Douradas Beach Club is expensive, but it is a super luxurious development where we just couldn't help but relax and unwind. Highly recommended, especially in September when the weather was glorious. P.S. Don't confuse the DD Beach Club with Dunas Douradas itself, which is a much older resort that is further from the beach and, in my option, not nearly as nice. riverside, London

Luxury family holiday...but worth it
We stayed at Dunas Douradas for a week with our two kids (6 and 3) and had a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing week. In fact we really couldn't fault the resort at all. It is undoubtedly expensive (particularly with the current exchange rate) but the quality more than made up for the cost. The apartments were spacious and spotlessly clean and had everything you could think of needing for a week's stay. The roof terrace and BBQ were great and although we hadn't intended to eat in at all we found ourselves having 2 or 3 BBQs with views over the sea. We were told that the resort was fully booked but it really didn't feel at all crowded and there were always plenty of loungers no matter what time of day we arrived at the pool. We found the staff friendly and helpful and the service excellent. The daily cleaning of the apartment was a great bonus too as it stayed spotlessly clean all week. The beach area was lovely but due to high winds we spent most of the time around the pool which was perfect for young children - there were 3 outdoor pools of varying depths and an indoor pool. We have had many far from perfect family holidays but I can honestly say it would be hard to find fault with Dunas Douradas. Meeky99, Bucks, England

Beautiful accommodation with wonderful staff
We have returned today from a week at Dunas Douradas Beach Club. Although we had stayed in this area previously we had always used 5 star hotels and were a little concerned about what we might expect from an apartment. We should not have worried. Despite our multiple emails with questions about facilities all the staff including MD were very helpful and supportive ahead of our stay. The accommodation is outstanding and we could hardly drag ourselves away from the beautiful views. The building design is sympathetiic to traditional architecture whilst incorporating all modern requirements of 5 star accommodation. The facilities and restaurants are excellent and the buildings and gardens are maintained beautifully. In addition the staff on reception, restaurants, pool, cleaning, gardeners and security were enthusiastic, helpful , genuinely friendly and completed the wonderful experience. Simply beautiful
We recently visited your Dunas-Douradas beach club and can i please say we had a fantastic time, we stayed during our Easter break for 7 nights. I thought the apartments were quite simply beautiful and the location perfect with amazing gardens and views and what you provide in them is the best we have ever stayed at, so thank you for a lovely holiday. I must also add that the staff were very friendly and always put a smile on our faces and also our children's faces, we had a breakfast everyday and in the evening we ate in the dining room or used the take away idea which again was superb as sometimes our children were too tired to eat out and the food was great. As this was such a perfect holiday we would love to come back again in the summer at the end of July with the children. Once again many thanks for a perfect holiday Kind Regards Mr. B

Wedding Anniversary
My wife & I recently stayed at DDBC for our 30th wedding anniversary, and i just wanted to let you know that we had a break to remember. Your staff were very friendly and helpful, the apartment was equipped & finished to a high standard (as was the rest of the site) and the location was excellent. We have always had a rule that we never go back to the same place as we prefer to look for new experiences. However, we both agree that we would like to make an exception as we enjoyed our stay immensely. We will recommend you to all our friends. The Sun was Shinning
I just wanted to drop you a note and thank you so much for all your help organising our stay at the Villa, it was a pleasure talking to your sales staff who were always very helpful thank you for that!! We are back in the summer for 3 weeks. We all had a wonderful time Christmas day the Turkey was beautiful and the Sun was shining what more could you ask for. Very Friendly Staff

"Top Notch"
We spent two nights in Dunas Douradas with our daughter and son in law and our son. The five of us were overwhelmed with our condo. Beautifully decorated, well equipped with everything you could possibly need to spend and excellent and relaxing vacation. The pools, gym, and beach were all 5 star. The food and service at the restaurant in the resort was excellent. We will definitely be back and recomend it highly to anyone looking for a relaxing, laid back family oriented luxuxious vacation!
